UniCredit extends alliance with Worldline

UniCredit, one of the main pan-European banks, has renewed its Open Banking Third Party Provider (TPP) service collaboration with Worldline, a global leader in payment services.

UniCredit customers can now connect their accounts with other European banks via a single application programming interface thanks to cooperation with Worldline (API).

UniCredit will be able to offer Account Information Services (AIS) and Payment Initiation Services (PIS) more effectively as a result of this, as well as a variety of new business prospects for UniCredit and its clients.

Since 2020, UniCredit has been using Worldline’s Open Banking TPP service. The relationship has been extended for a second time, for a period of two years.

In terms of efficiency, the relationship with Worldline is quite beneficial. UniCredit gains vast and cost-effective access throughout Europe with a single API, rather than building separate relationships with numerous different banks. UniCredit and its customers can use Worldline’s API to perform PIS and AIS services.
