Ukraine Plans Record Electricity Imports

Ukraine’s energy ministry announced on Monday its intention to increase electricity imports from five European nations to record levels. This decision follows reports of substantial damage to the country’s energy infrastructure in the wake of Russian airstrikes.

The anticipated imports are projected to reach 19,484 megawatt hours (Mwh), surpassing the previous record set at 18,649 Mwh in late March, a consequence of Russian assaults on Ukraine’s energy sector.
