UBA partners with Layer for its digital transformation


United Bank for Africa (UBA) has announced its decision to partner with Layer, a European firm that provides digital banking platforms. The deal, which was first announced on the 16th of June, is expected to help UBA in its service digitization efforts.

The new deal means Layer will be given access to help UBA serve 18 million users spread across 25 African and European nations. The deal will also improve the accessibility of UBA’s services to clients.

Roy Zakka, founder and CEO of Layer, also expressed his optimism about the new partnership, calling it “exciting and ambitious in its spirit and scope”.

Layer helps make the digital transformation processes of banks faster and more seamless. The firm, through many different partners globally, currently serves 25million users.
