TD Bank appoints new US exec


TD Bank has announced the appointment of Matthew Boss as the Head of U.S. Consumer Banking. With nearly 25 years of experience in the banking industry, Boss will oversee TD Bank’s extensive network of over 1,100 locations, digital sales, U.S. Wealth, and TD Auto Finance sectors. His role will also entail managing retail operations and consumer product teams, covering deposits, credit cards, unsecured and residential lending.

Boss joined TD Bank in 2017, initially leading the Credit Cards and Unsecured Lending portfolios before advancing to Head of Consumer Product Management in the U.S. His tenure has been marked by significant achievements, including expanding the bank’s deposit business, revamping its overdraft policy, and strengthening the cards franchise. Additionally, Boss has played a key role in optimising mortgage operations and promoting diversity and inclusion initiatives within the bank.

Prior to joining TD Bank, Boss served as Managing Director of Products and Marketing at the Australia & New Zealand Banking Group (ANZ) and held various leadership roles at Bank of America over a decade. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in business administration and finance from the University of Massachusetts – Amherst.
