Swiss Neobank Alpian Raises CHF 76 Million in Series C Funding

Swiss neobank Alpian has secured CHF 76 million (approximately $83.5 million) in a Series C funding round to accelerate its growth. The round was led by Fideuram, the private banking and wealth management unit of Italian banking group Intesa Sanpaolo, which invested CHF 40 million (around $44 million). This investment will make Fideuram the majority shareholder of Alpian, pending regulatory approval.

Alpian and Fideuram have maintained a partnership since 2022, following an initial CHF 19 million (around $20 million) investment from Fideuram. The collaboration has focused on digitising Fideuram’s wealth management services.

Founded in October 2019 and incubated by banking group REYL Intesa Sanpaolo, Alpian has reported significant growth, with client assets nearing CHF 100 million and its client base doubling to several thousand in Q1 of this year.

Gianmarco Bonaita, who took over as CEO in September, stated that the enhanced partnership and additional capital will further accelerate Alpian’s growth.
