SpaceChain today announced the launch of its UAE headquarters in Abu Dhabi, marking the company’s entry into the Middle East’s expanding space sector.
The new office, which is incorporated and operated under the legal entity of SpaceChain MENA Ltd, is located at Hub71, Abu Dhabi’s global tech ecosystem, and will be responsible for the planning and development of integrated space-blockchain projects and initiatives in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).
The opening of SpaceChain’s UAE office marks a significant step forward in the company’s efforts to advance its decentralized satellite infrastructure (DSI) for business and fintech applications, as well as to extend its space-as-a-service capabilities to businesses and communities across the MENA region, in order to build a next-generation infrastructure for the blockchain industry in space.
In order to accomplish its DSI vision, SpaceChain has successfully launched six blockchain-enabled satellite payloads into orbit.
