Segura Bank Partners with Temenos to Launch Digital Bank

Segura Bank International (SBI) of Puerto Rico has announced a strategic partnership with Swiss vendor Temenos to leverage its cloud-based core banking platform for the launch of its new digital bank, catering to mid-to-high earners across Latin America. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in SBI’s quest to offer innovative banking solutions to customers in the region.

Building upon previous plans outlined last year, SBI will harness Temenos’ advanced capabilities in transaction processing, multi-currency account management, KYC compliance, and regulatory adherence. By integrating Temenos’ platform, SBI aims to accelerate the rollout of banking products, enhance operational efficiency, and scale its operations effectively across the continent.

Temenos’ cloud-based solution empowers SBI’s digital bank to expedite product launches, streamline processes, and achieve greater automation. The implementation, completed in a record time of six months, was facilitated by Temenos’ delivery partner, ITSS, ensuring a seamless transition to the new banking platform.

Juan Zambrano, CEO of SBI, expressed confidence in Temenos’ technology, emphasising its ability to support the growth of the digital bank while offering the stability of US dollars to customers across Latin America. The partnership underscores SBI’s commitment to delivering robust banking services tailored to the evolving needs of its clientele.
