SEBA announces rebranding move

SEBA Bank AG, a Swiss crypto bank with a full license, has unveiled its new brand identity, now known as AMINA Bank AG. Operating globally from regulated hubs in Zug, Abu Dhabi, and Hong Kong, the bank offers a range of traditional and crypto banking services to its clients.

Originally establishing itself in 2019 as one of the pioneering FINMA-regulated institutions providing crypto banking services, SEBA Bank’s rebranding initiative marks a significant milestone for the company, which has been in operation for over four years.

The choice of the name ‘AMINA’ is derived from the term ‘transAMINAtion,’ representing the transference of one compound to another. The brand embodies a commitment to perpetual change, bringing together the elements of traditional, digital, and crypto banking to unlock new potentials and foster growth for its clientele.

Franz Bergmueller, CEO of AMINA, expressed enthusiasm about the brand’s introduction, emphasising the new era it signifies in the company’s growth and strategy. He highlighted AMINA’s position as a key player in crypto banking, aiming to shape the future of finance by offering a client-focused approach and leveraging years of experience in both traditional and crypto finance. The brand aims to provide a secure platform for investors to build wealth under the highest regulatory standards.

Looking ahead to 2024, AMINA’s ambitions include accelerating the growth of its strategic hubs in Switzerland, Hong Kong, and Abu Dhabi, along with a continued global expansion, building on the successes achieved in previous years.

The rebranding process is expected to have no impact on the current clients of AMINA Bank, formerly SEBA Bank, except for encountering the new name. All operations will continue as usual. The branch office in Abu Dhabi and subsidiaries in Hong Kong and Singapore will subsequently apply for a name change to align with the head office in Zug.
