Saudi Minister Explores International Cooperation in Vienna


Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Economy and Planning, Faisal Al-Ibrahim, held several high-level meetings in Vienna on Monday, focusing on sustainable development and economic cooperation.

In a meeting with Ghada Waly, Executive Director of the UN Office in Vienna, Al-Ibrahim discussed collaboration on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and other mutual interests. The talks aimed to strengthen the partnership between Saudi Arabia and the UN on key global initiatives.

Al-Ibrahim also met with Abdulhamid Alkhalifa, President of the OPEC Fund for International Development. They explored upcoming initiatives of the fund, seeking to enhance cooperation on international development projects.

The minister held discussions with Austrian Minister of Labor and Economy Martin Kocher. Their talks focused on bolstering trade and economic cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Austria, and addressing recent developments of mutual interest.

The meetings were attended by Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Austria, Abdullah Tawlah, underscoring the diplomatic efforts to advance international partnerships.

These discussions highlight Saudi Arabia’s commitment to sustainable development and strengthening economic relations on a global scale.
