Saudi hosts representatives of UK esports firms


The Saudi Ministry of Investment recently hosted a delegation consisting of 20 prominent British esports companies in Riyadh, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency. The delegation engaged in discussions with the ministry’s sports sector team, representatives from the Ministry of Sports, the Saudi Esports Federation, and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.

The primary purpose of this meeting was to explore potential investment opportunities within the esports industry and to stay informed about the latest developments in business and investment within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Additionally, a workshop was conducted, bringing together UK firms and relevant government and private entities. During this workshop, participants discussed the significant investment advantages available in Saudi Arabia for the growing esports sector and explored ways to enhance the business environment within the country.

Throughout the workshop sessions, the ministry collaborated with the Ministry of Sports and the Saudi Esports Federation to present various plans and strategies related to the broader sports sector, with a specific focus on the esports domain.

These discussions encompassed a wide range of gaming and esports projects and initiatives, with the aim of identifying potential investment opportunities in collaboration with other entities.
