ReforestPay set to launch in Europe

This year, ReforestPay, a new sustainability-focused paytech that plans to plant a tree for every transaction it processes, will go live for merchants in the UK and EU.

Most e-commerce platforms, including WooCommerce, OpenCart, and PrestaShop, are said to be supported by the payments processor. A tree is planted and the consumer is alerted for every online transaction processed through the payment channel.

ReforestPay features no signup costs, and merchants simply pay per transaction. On top of interchange, card scheme, and acquirer costs, there is a transaction fee of 29p. ReforestPay has teamed up with Eden Reforestation Projects to plant 1 million trees over the next five years.

The company is a member of the Reforest Group, whose stated goals include reforesting the world, combating climate change, and making it easier for people to rescue the earth by providing cheap services.
