PayRetailers to Acquire Brazilian Paytech Transfeera

Spanish paytech PayRetailers is acquiring Transfeera, a Brazilian platform specialising in payment processing and bank data validation, to strengthen its presence in Brazil.

Transfeera’s 450 customers and 62 employees will join the PayRetailers group, with the company continuing to operate normally after the acquisition. The deal, pending approval from the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE) and the Central Bank of Brazil, has undisclosed financial terms.

PayRetailers, which recently obtained its Brazilian payment institution license, aims to solidify its position as Brazil’s leading processor of high-complexity payments. Founder and CEO Juan Pablo Jutgla stated that this acquisition will enhance their market leadership in Brazil.

PayRetailers operates across more than 20 countries in Latin America and Africa, offering card processing and e-commerce services. The company plans to double its Brazilian workforce next year and expand its market presence further.

This acquisition follows PayRetailers’ M&A strategy, which included the purchase of Chilean and Colombian online payment platforms Paygol and Pago Digital in April 2022. Jutgla hinted at future acquisitions to strengthen its global position in payment methods.

Founded in 2017 and based in Curitiba, Transfeera provides payment management and processing services, including bank account and Pix key validation. Co-founder and CEO Fernando Nunes noted that joining PayRetailers will give Transfeera access to extensive expertise in developing and offering banking products.
