Mastercard Expands Partnership with Citi

Mastercard, one of the world’s leading financial services providers, has announced the expansion of its partnership with Citi to provide the needed support to local residents and small businesses through broader public-private sector collaboration.

The newly expanded partnership will initially allow City Possible network members access to “Citi Start Saving” and “City Builder by Citi” via the Mastercard City Insights Digital Marketplace.

Citi is renowned as one of the foremost lenders globally, with almost 200 million customer accounts with an operational presence in well over 160 countries.

The duo brokered a partnership before this expansion through which they worked together to offer various innovative solutions to multi-national organizations and financial institutions across the globe. In 2020, Citi was also welcomed to the Priceless Planet Coalition as a founding partner.

“Partners like Citi allow us to continue to expand the range of solutions we can provide to the City Possible network, which has already played an important role in helping to build more inclusive communities,” commented Miguel Gamino, Executive Vice President, Enterprise Partnerships and Head of Global Cities and City Possible at Mastercard.
