Laurentian Bank unveils credit card solution

Laurentian Bank has launched a new line of credit cards for retail customers in a partnership with Brim Financial. The launch includes a rewards programme and digital banking services for its clients. The new cards offer instant access to virtual cards upon approval, providing consumers the ability to use their new credit card immediately. The rewards programme, flexible and intuitive, allows customers to redeem rewards in a way that works for them while also offering an instalment payment plan at reduced interest rates.

Karine Abgrall-Teslyk, Executive Vice President and Head of Personal Banking at Laurentian Bank, said that the bank’s commitment to improving the overall banking experience led to the development of its new line of credit cards. Rasha Katabi, founder and CEO of Brim Financial, stated that Brim’s unique credit card issuing platform and technology stack will be supporting the bank in leaping the market as a leader in innovation. With the partnership, Laurentian Bank’s customers have access to best-in-class customer experiences and product capabilities.

Retail customers can apply for a credit card online, and after receiving a response within seconds of approval, have immediate access to the virtual card. Through the rewards programme, customers can earn rewards from special merchant offers and receive first-time bonus points or by hitting spending milestones.

The rewards programme allows customers to apply rewards against any transaction or account balance, with the flexibility to start at $1. The new digital self-serve platform provides a best-in-class digital experience, allowing customers to manage their accounts, change PINs, request credit limit increases, and replacement cards with instant virtual issuance. Customers can also manage additional cardholders, add up to four authorized users, and manage budgets, spending limits, card access, and more.
