JPMorgan Appoints Sollo Cho to Lead Investment Banking


JPMorgan Chase & Co. has announced the appointment of Sollo Cho, a managing director, to lead its investment banking business in South Korea. The memo regarding Cho’s appointment indicates that he will assume the role of head of investment banking in the North Asian country effective immediately.

Sollo Cho, who joined JPMorgan in 2018, has been involved in significant deals, including arranging the $1.3 billion IPO for South Korea’s largest online payment service, Kakao Pay Corp., in 2021, and the $827 million IPO for Hybe Co., the K-pop agency of BTS superstars, in 2020.

He has also played a role in deals such as Hybe’s acquisition of Ithaca Holdings. Cho has prior experience at Deutsche Bank AG and ABN Amro Bank NV.
