Investcorp launches North America platform

The creation of a private infrastructure investment business in North America by Investcorp, a renowned worldwide alternative investment organization, was announced today.

The firm’s worldwide expertise and track record in real estate and private equity will be used to invest in essential infrastructure companies and projects across North America through the new platform.

Michael Ryder has joined Investcorp as a Senior Advisor and will be in charge of the infrastructure division. Michael has a proven track record of accomplishment in the private equity and infrastructure sectors, having previously held positions of leadership at Morgan Stanley, Blackstone, and OMERS Infrastructure.

Michael oversaw the deployment of nearly $4 billion in equity in the renewable energy, regulated utilities, midstream, and government services sectors during his time at OMERS.

From transaction origination, structuring, and execution, asset management, and value generation, to successful exits, Michael has led teams responsible for all stages of the investment lifecycle.
