Credit Suisse names new SEA investment banking VC

According to a memo seen by Reuters, Robert Huray has been named vice chairman of Credit Suisse Group’s Southeast Asia investment banking and capital markets unit.

According to his LinkedIn page, Huray, a senior regional banker, ran RHB’s investment banking division from 2016 until early 2021, after which he handled the Southeast Asian interests of Malaysian businessman Robert Kuok’s company Kuok Group.

Huray, who joined Credit Suisse in 2000 and worked there for four years, will report to Rehan Anwer and Kuan-Ern Tan, the co-heads of Credit Suisse’s Southeast Asian investment banking and capital markets division. Huray, who is located in Singapore, will also be in charge of the Swiss bank’s Southeast Asia coverage of the global industrials group.

It was unclear whether Huray’s title of regional vice chairman of Credit Suisse’s investment banking business was a new post at the bank.
