Citi taps Navan to launch new solution for CCB cardholders

Citi and Navan have announced an innovative partnership to introduce a co-branded travel and expense management system specifically tailored for Citi Commercial Bank (CCB) cardholders. This collaboration leverages Navan’s expertise in modern travel and expense management solutions and combines it with Citi’s well-established commercial card solutions. The primary aim of this collaboration is to create a seamless digital experience using Navan Connect’s cutting-edge card-link technology, offering a comprehensive end-to-end corporate Travel and Expense (T&E) management solution.

Initially, this system will be available exclusively to Citi Commercial Bank clients in the United States. Citi’s Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS) business, in conjunction with Citi Commercial Bank, is introducing an innovative solution designed for Citi’s mid-market clients. This new offering complements Citi’s existing product portfolio for Commercial Bank clients, encompassing leading solutions in Payments, Receivables, Liquidity Management, Foreign Exchange, and Trade.

Navan is a trailblazer in modern travel and expense management solutions, renowned for its all-in-one approach and innovative card-link technology, which simplifies expense reporting and enhances travel and expense programs for cardholders.

Gonca Latif-Schmitt, Global Head of Citi’s Commercial Cards, emphasised that this collaboration has the potential to provide a more efficient way to manage travel and expense programs. It offers a user-friendly platform for both travellers and finance teams while addressing the challenges associated with expense reporting. This partnership not only enables Citi to expand its Commercial Cards business through collaboration with its Commercial Bank but also provides advanced travel booking and expense management technology.

Ariel Cohen, CEO and co-founder of Navan, underscored how this agreement validates Navan’s technology and the value it delivers by providing finance teams and traveling employees with real-time visibility and control over their expenditures. It simplifies travel and expense management for Citi Commercial Bank clients by consolidating various travel and payment solutions into a single, streamlined platform.
