BofA launches new explorer credit card and more

Bank of America has announced new offerings targeted at providing premium services to frequent business travelers and corporate executives.

The lender’s new card program, Executive Explorer, provides generous statement credits for travel perks and enhanced insurance coverage to make travelling a more pleasant experience.

Also, the bank has broadened its mobile capabilities for commercial cardholders with the Global Card Access app. Cardholders who are on a trip or making business-related purchases can now activate their cards, view their balance and check their PIN using an app on their mobile phone.

“With business travel beginning to resume, we think our clients’ employees will benefit from the added features including statement credits toward expedited clearance at airports and access to over 1,500 participating airline lounges, plus touch-free capabilities such as contactless payment and mobile wallet,” said Jennifer Petty, head of Global Card and Comprehensive Payables in Global Transaction Services (GTS) at Bank of America.

The Executive Explorer cards can be accessed by the lender’s corporate and commercial clients in North America, Europe and Asia, and allows access to premium insurance benefits related to coverage for lost luggage, baggage delay, ride share protection and cell phone protection. 

Executive Explorer cardholders will also get priority assistance from the customer service team at the bank.

To get access to the Global Card Access app, clients are expected to get in touch with their Bank of America relationship manager who will inform them about how to access and use the app, particularly in the lender’s direct issuance markets.
