Asensus taps Google Cloud for medtech

Asensus Surgical, a medical device company, announced a partnership with Google Cloud that will integrate machine learning and secure cloud data architecture to enhance the capabilities of Asensus Surgical’s Performance-Guided Surgery framework.

The technology will leverage the data collected by the company’s Intelligent Surgical Unit and Google Cloud’s machine learning to provide clinical insight for surgeons and hospitals, improving surgical accuracy and efficiency, reducing variability, and ultimately improving patient outcomes.

Anthony Fernando, Asensus Surgical’s CEO, said the collaboration would drive consistently superior results for patients by enabling access portals, performance dashboards, and clinical intelligence discernment.

The partnership demonstrates a commitment to offering more effective, digitally-enabled care to patients worldwide. Further details of the partnership will be provided during Asensus Surgical’s investor day, scheduled for February 21, 2023.
