Apple acquires UK fintech, expands Apple Card to Europe

Apple Card has been available for nearly three years, however it is now only available in the United States. This could change soon, as Apple recently purchased Credit Kudos, a UK-based fintech business that handles consumer financial data and performs credit checks.

According to estimates, the agreement is worth $150 million and will aid Apple in its efforts to sell Apple Card in the United Kingdom and Europe.

Credit Kudos is a credit checking service that, owing to its unique API, provides detailed financial and credit score analyses for individuals.

The now-Apple subsidiary has been dubbed the “missing link” in the rollout of Apple Card in the United Kingdom, and its expertise is expected to play a crucial part in the service’s spread across Europe and beyond.
