ANZ Worldline Payment Solutions, a joint venture between ANZ and Worldline, has introduced Ant’s renowned payment solution Alipay+ into its ecosystem, allowing businesses wider access to accept payments from various digital wallets. This service is enabled through the Worldline Move 5000 Eftpos terminal and supports at least six digital wallets, including:
With the Alipay+ enabled Eftpos terminal, businesses can accept payments from these digital wallets as well as other card schemes and wallets of their choice, all without requiring additional hardware or payment terminals.
To complete a purchase, customers simply need to select their preferred digital wallet on their mobile device and then scan the QR code that is automatically displayed on the Worldline Move 5000 Eftpos terminal. This convenient process allows for seamless and efficient transactions, making it easier for businesses to accept payments from a wide range of digital wallet users.
According to Petr Ryska, CEO, ANZ Worldline Payment Solutions, this new integration of Alipay+ better positions businesses in Australia to maximise the recovery of the international tourism sector and also to better serve wallet holders living in Australia.
“International shoppers and travellers seek out businesses that offer their preferred and trusted payment method and even say they’d be more willing to spend with those businesses that do,” he said.
Danny Chung, General Manager of Ant Group in Australia, New Zealand and South Korea said, “Together with ANZ Worldline, we are thrilled to put Alipay+ solutions at the service of tens of thousands of merchants in Australia, enabling them to better connect with consumers across Asia through the simplicity and convenience of digital payments.”
