Africa Data Centres launches 10MW data centre facility

Africa Data Centres (ADC), Africa’s largest network of interconnected carrier and cloud-neutral data center facilities, has issued a statement announcing the launch of a new 10MW data center facility in Lagos, Nigeria called LOS1 data centre.

Based on details provided by the firm, the new facility would make it possible for hyperscale clients of Africa Data Centres to install digitization solutions throughout the western part of Africa.

The Nigerian data centre is expected to serve as the West African hub for Africa Data Centres. Since connectivity remains a priority for the firm, it will be added to its existing data center network, which includes Johannesburg, Nairobi, Cape Town, Harare, and Kigali.

Nigeria, as revealed by Stephane Duproz, CEO of Africa Data Centres, is one of the company’s major markets since the region has experienced a rapid growth in demand for data centers. The region is also hungry for digitization as businesses of all types and sizes are in a race to ramp up their digital transformation process.
