Access Bank adds over 70,000 Closa Agents

In a bid to provide better service to its customers, Access Bank Plc., a top lender in Nigeria has equipped and verified 74,000 Access Closa agents to make financial services more seamless and to make it as close to every Nigerian as possible.

Using the services of these Access Closa Agents dispersed across all 774 Local Government Areas in Nigeria, majority of Nigeria’s unbanked and underbanked population will now be able to easily access banking services.

This innovative offering will create a new revenue stream for MSMEs, increase the level of financial literacy, while also drawing the bank closer to its corporate goal, which is to bank 50% of the population by 2025.

Remarking on the service, Robert Giles, a Senior Banking Advisor for Retail, at Access Bank commented: “With the recent mapping of over 70,000 Access Closa Agents, customers and non-customers of the Bank who are traveling for business, events, or to visit loved ones in any location in Nigeria will continue to enjoy uninterrupted banking services as our Closa agents are available in several rural and semi-urban locations across the country.

Users can find their nearest agent by simply using the search term “Access Closa Agent”  on Google Map. This will reduce the number of customers who need to walk into a branch by a significant amount, as these agents can offer services such as cash withdrawal, cash deposit, bill payments, and account opening.
