UBS hires Private Bankers for SEA

With the hiring of three new private bankers, UBS’ global wealth arm has increased its reach to high net worth people in Southeast Asia, finews.asia has discovered. According to an internal memo acquired by finews.asia, Maria Lourdes Kristen Quintos has joined UBS as a senior client advisor specialising in ultra-high net worth (UHNW) clients.

Quintos has over 35 years of banking experience, the last 15 of which were spent as president and CEO of Maybank ATR Kim Eng Capital Partners Inc. She previously served institutions, pension funds, and high net worth (HNW) clients as a chief representative at Bank of Singapore in Manila.

Furthermore, Natalie Boey and Nicolo Nicandro have joined UBS as client advisors specialising in HNW and UHNW customers in the Philippines.

Previously, Nicandro served as a senior associate and investment counsellor at the Bank of Singapore in Manila, where he provided private clients with advice and oversaw international multi-asset portfolios. Boey worked for Citi for almost 15 years, 10 of which were spent concentrating on the Philippines market coverage.

The three new additions join the bank’s APAC Thailand and Philippines business area for global wealth management. The memo’s contents were confirmed by a bank spokesperson.
