Argentine province to invest US$1.9bn in infrastructure

Governor Jorge Capitanich conducted a working discussion with the Minister of Public Works of the Nation, Gabriel Katopodis, via videoconference on Monday to review and progress the province’s public works plan.

The Schulz Museum, works in the Pedro Pescador area, storm drains in Resistencia, drinking water networks and sewers to provide service universalization throughout the province, urban pavement, and the second Chaco-Corrientes bridge were among the projects handled.

Chaco is to invest over $ 200 billion in infrastructure projects over the next two years, according to Capitanich, with funding coming from a variety of international, national, and provincial sources.

The plan envisions the creation of 20,000 employment and a strong public works infrastructure, resulting in a significant shift in the province’s productive, financial, and economic development.
