FAB broadens IBM alliance

First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) has announced an expanded collaboration with IBM Consulting to accelerate the migration of applications to the cloud, as part of the bank’s ongoing efforts to modernize its digital infrastructure.

FAB and IBM Consulting will jointly conduct a comprehensive discovery and assessment exercise to determine the optimal approach for migrating applications to cloud environments. This strategic initiative will enable FAB to enhance its technology infrastructure through a hybrid multi-cloud strategy, driving cost efficiency, boosting productivity, and fostering innovation opportunities.

IBM will leverage its Delivery Curator framework, a pattern-driven accelerator tailored to the cloud migration process, to facilitate the project from discovery to implementation.

Srinivasan Sampath, Acting Group Chief Technology Officer at FAB, expressed pride in the bank’s digital transformation journey and emphasized the importance of the partnership with IBM Consulting in facilitating their cloud migration initiatives. By embracing the cloud, FAB aims to deliver a seamless digital experience to its diverse customer base, rapidly develop new digital offerings, and reduce its data center footprint.
