Former CEO Gareth Walsh has transitioned to a non-executive director role on the board, while Siona Meghen has joined as an independent non-executive director. Claire Gillanders, who has been with SumUp since 2020, has been promoted to head of compliance for the EU.

SumUp, which secured €1.5 billion in private credit debt from Goldman Sachs Asset Management in May, views Ireland as a key strategic hub, critical for its European market expansion.
