PayRetailers Expands Footprint into Africa

South American fintech leader PayRetailers has significantly expanded its operations into Africa, launching payment processing services in Nigeria, Kenya, and several other countries. This move, which follows the company’s recent entry into Rwanda, Zambia, Uganda, and Tanzania, strengthens its presence across 12 African nations, including Ghana, Senegal, and South Africa.

PayRetailers aims to provide tailored payment solutions that accommodate the unique needs of each market, leveraging its unified API to offer seamless access to over 300 local payment methods. The expansion is part of the company’s strategy to foster financial inclusion and support businesses as they tap into Africa’s growing digital economy.

Jonathan Vintner, Global Head of Sales at PayRetailers, highlighted the diversity of the African market and emphasized the company’s commitment to delivering solutions that cater to the specific demands of each region. For instance, in Kenya, PayRetailers has integrated M-Pesa, the leading mobile money service, into its platform, while in South Africa, a blend of card and cash solutions is offered.

Founded in 2017, PayRetailers has quickly become a key player in the global payment processing industry, known for its flexible and scalable platform that supports businesses in rapidly evolving markets. The company’s expansion into Africa marks a crucial milestone in its growth trajectory, with further plans to extend its reach across more African nations and into Europe.
