Visa, Revolut Partner on Cross-Border Business Payments Solution

Visa has announced a strategic partnership with Revolut to enhance cross-border transactions for business customers. The collaboration aims to simplify international transfers, traditionally burdened by high fees, delays, and complex requirements like IBAN and BIC codes.

Through Visa Direct, a real-time payment network, Revolut Business clients can now access Instant Card Transfers, allowing fast and secure global payments. This service, available in over 78 countries and supporting more than 50 currencies, enables businesses to make payments using just a card number, with funds transferred within 30 minutes.

The partnership builds on the success of previous collaborations, including the facilitation of peer-to-peer payments across 90 countries in 2023 and the introduction of Visa virtual cards for the B2B travel sector in 2024.

Mark Jamison, Visa’s Senior Vice President of Global Clients, emphasised the importance of Visa Direct’s global reach and security in supporting Revolut’s business customers. James Gibson, General Manager at Revolut Business, expressed enthusiasm for launching Instant Card Transfers in the UK and EEA, highlighting the simplicity and speed it offers for global payments.
