Sime Darby Berhad to use Equinix APAC data centers

Sime Darby Berhad, a Malaysian conglomerate, has partnered with Equinix, a digital infrastructure provider, to utilise its data centers in the Asia-Pacific area.

Sime Darby Berhad will also leverage Equinix’s other services, such as Equinix Network Edge and Equinix Fabric, which deliver virtual network services on a modular infrastructure architecture.

Cisco, CloudGenix, Fortinet, Juniper Networks, Palo Alto Networks, Silver Peak (recently bought by Aruba, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise business), Versa Networks, and VMware are among the firms that use Equinix’s Network Edge.

Sime Darby Berhad will be able to achieve secure and stable SD-WAN integration across markets thanks to the agreement. It also means that the conglomerate will be able to quickly scale and adapt to external circumstances by deploying digital infrastructure as needed, obviating the requirement for previous methods that required shipment, trucking, and capital expenditure.
