Quintana, Astarte earmarks $1.5bn infrastructure projects

Quintana Infrastructure & Development (QID) and Astarte Capital Partners have partnered to invest more than $1.5 billion (€1.4 billion) in mid-market, value-add infrastructure in North America.

Quintana Adaptive Infrastructure (QAI) Capital was founded by the two partners to focus on the infrastructure verticals of data and technology, industrial and environmental, decarbonization, and energy transformation.

QAI Capital will invest $20 to $80 million in stock. The venture’s strategy involves turning greenfield and brownfield assets into functioning firms, repurposing or repositioning mature assets into viable platforms, and providing growth capital to growing businesses.

QAI Capital intends to convert its holdings into core or core-plus assets. QID’s experience and unique access to meaningful initiatives across North America, according to Stavros Siokos, co-founder and managing partner of Astarte Capital Partners, will benefit “our investors as well as the local communities that our projects and companies will serve.”
