PGNiG partners with Sempra for LNG supply

Sempra Infrastructure, a Sempra subsidiary, and PGNiG, a Polish oil and gas firm, have signed a ‘terms of agreement’ for the purchase of approximately 3 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa) of LNG delivered free-on-board from Sempra Infrastructure’s North American LNG projects.

The aforementioned agreement calls for the negotiation and completion of definitive 20-year LNG sale-and-purchase agreements for 2 Mtpa from the Cameron LNG Phase 2 project in Louisiana and 1 Mtpa from the Port Arthur LNG project in Texas.

The agreement also allows PGNiG to reallocate volumes from the Cameron LNG Phase 2 project to the Port Arthur LNG project in 2022.

Sempra Infrastructure and PGNiG also plan to continue working on a framework for greenhouse gas emission reduction, mitigation, and reporting across the LNG value chain.
