Paysend launches European tech centre in Serbia

Paysend, a world-renowned FinTech with 7 million consumers, announced the opening of a new European Technology Center in Belgrade, Serbia, today.

Serbia’s position as Europe’s next technology hotspot is rising, with a growing population of major brands, venture capital firms, and FinTech startups flocking to the country to take advantage of its convenient location and locally-grown, internationally respected technological talent pool.

Paysend seeks to contribute its quota to some of the new and ground-breaking tech-driven solutions that are currently being set in place in Serbia. Part of the plan includes partnering with the National Bank of Serbia to build and tryout payment solutions and offerings in the bank’s payment regulatory sandbox.

The fintech will also join the Digital Serbia Initiative, a non-profit that organises student activities, assists in the development of FinTech laws, and promotes the digital economy in Serbia.
