Outpayce Selects Mambu for Multi-Currency Digital Wallet

Outpayce, the travel payments division of Spanish IT group Amadeus, has partnered with Mambu to launch a new multi-currency digital wallet service. The service will use Mambu’s Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) cloud banking platform.

Outpayce recently received an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) license from the Bank of Spain, enabling it to manage large transaction volumes and current accounts. Werner Van Ravesteyn, Outpayce’s head of enterprise products, platforms, and services, highlighted the benefits of the cloud-native SaaS approach for managing multi-currency accounts and supporting electronic fund transfers across numerous payment schemes. “Mambu’s SaaS model means updates happen in real-time, allowing us to focus on building solutions while it takes care of the back-end maintenance,” Van Ravesteyn said.

Víctor Indiano, Mambu’s area manager for Southern Europe, noted that Mambu was chosen after a thorough selection process for its capability to support Outpayce’s embedded finance vision.

Outpayce plans to use its EMI license to expand its payment services across Spain and the EU. The Mambu implementation is currently underway, with the service expected to go live in the coming months.
