Inmarsat introduces new solution in Middle East

Together with Hytera, Global Beam Telecom, Cobham Satcom, and Inmarsat have introduced BGAN Prism PTT+, a new Push-To-Talk (PTT) service.

Businesses will be able to overcome the coverage redundancy and operational downtime associated with conventional radio systems with the help of this comprehensive satellite-enhanced connectivity solution, which is now offered through Hytera mobile radios.

The new unified network solution combines knowledge of radio systems (LMR/DMR), cellular devices (3G/LTE), and satellite connectivity to produce a PTT offering that will hasten the Middle Eastern enterprise adoption of sophisticated connectivity.

The Inmarsat BGAN service, which is supported by the company’s global ELERA (L-band) satellite network, powers the solution’s radio over internet protocol (IP) capabilities and offers the reliability of 99.9%+ uptime.

Explaining the collaboration, Mike Carter, President of Inmarsat Enterprise said: “In this new partnership, Inmarsat is proud to build on our longstanding relationships with Global Beam Telecom and Cobham Satcom, by welcoming Hytera into the fold.”

This partnership will revolutionise working remotely in the Middle East. To provide clients with a brand-new, unrivalled PTT service, it will integrate the greatest connectivity with cutting-edge technology and software.
