Emirates NBD launches API developer portal

The Middle East, North Africa, and Turkey (MENAT) region’s largest and most complete financial Application Programming Interface (API) developer portal, known as “Emirates NBD API Souq,” has been launched by Emirates NBD, a prominent banking organisation. It offers corporate clients, developers, and FinTechs a one-stop shop to quickly create novel financial solutions.

Developers have access to a wide range of ready-to-use Emirates NBD APIs through the portal, which covers the six major categories of account services, payments, collections, real-time notifications, trade services, and information services. In the coming months, more APIs will be added to the portal. Developers can quickly find, test, and integrate APIs into their products and services in a highly secure environment thanks to the bank’s seamless connection with the portal and its user-friendly interface.

In order to enhance their complementary specialities and offerings, third-party businesses can use APIs, which are a set of pre-defined functions that facilitate data transfers between third parties and the bank’s systems in a secure environment. This eliminates the need to switch between the banking system and their Enterprise workflow.

The launch of Emirates NBD’s developer portal extends the Bank’s already-strong API Banking strategy, which was introduced last year to inform customers about how APIs may assist their business needs.

By enabling Emirates NBD, its clients, and developers to directly design protocols that will increase operational efficiencies, promote real-time updates, and boost data-driven decision-making, the site improves the already excellent service. The portal also includes a complete API technical documentation section, organised Emirates NBD API resources, and “Sandbox” integration possibilities.
