Credit Suisse Reforms Investment Bank in Asia

According to information obtained by finews.asia, Credit Suisse has appointed a number of new individuals to the top executive roles within its investment banking and capital markets arm.

According to an internal note viewed by finews.asia, Zeth Hung has been appointed vice-chairman of APAC investment banking and capital markets (IBCM), reporting to the global head of IBCM David Miller.

Hung has worked with Credit Suisse since 1998 when he initially began working there. His most recent position before that was co-head of IBCM, which he held since 2018.

The two APAC IBCM co-heads were promoted to the new positions, starting June 1, alongside current APAC chief executive Edwin Low. Kuan Ern Tan and Joe Lai, who have a regional reporting line to Low and a reporting line to Miller as well, succeed them.

Tan, who is based in Singapore, switched from J.P. Morgan to Credit Suisse in 2010. Lai, who is based in Hong Kong, joined the Swiss bank in 2014 and will continue to serve alongside Angelo Scasserra as co-head of real estate APAC.
