BOTIM taps Moneygram for global transfer

Astra Tech, a technology investment and development group based in the UAE, has announced a strategic partnership with MoneyGram International to integrate fintech capabilities into its VoIP solution, BOTIM. With over 90 million registered users, BOTIM is a popular communication platform in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

The partnership will allow BOTIM users to send money to 200 countries in near real-time, making it one of the first chat-based communication platforms to enable international money transfers with just a click of a button.

Astra Tech recently acquired BOTIM, making the company one of the largest communications technology platforms in the MENA region. A poll conducted by Astra Tech revealed that international money transfer was the top priority among BOTIM users. The service is expected to be available in the UAE in February 2023.

Representatives from Astra Tech stated that the partnership with MoneyGram will allow them to leverage the financial services provider’s security and offer BOTIM users good financial services. The collaboration is aimed at revolutionizing international money transfers by making them as seamless as sending a text message.

MoneyGram International is a global financial technology company that enables consumers and businesses to move and manage money in nearly every country around the world. The partnership with Astra Tech and BOTIM will allow the company to expand its reach and offer its services to a larger audience.
