Bark Technologies closes Series C at $30m

Bark Technologies, a global pioneer in digital safety, announced today the completion of a $30 million Series C fundraising transaction led by Kayne Partners, Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors’ growth private equity arm, with participation from current investors.

This round of funding increases Bark’s total funding to $67 million. Leon Chen, Managing Partner of Kayne Partners, will join Bark’s board of directors, according to the company.

Bark, which was founded in 2015 by Brian Bason to help families manage the risks of an ever-changing digital world, now protects roughly 6 million children online at home and in over 3,200 schools and districts across the United States, Guam, South Africa, and Australia.

Bark will use the Series C capital to accelerate its worldwide expansion, create more strategic global alliances, and further establish Bark as a leader in the online safety area.

“We are thrilled to have Kayne Partners as a partner to help us offer even more families our online safety tools and resources,” said Brian Bason, founder and CEO of Bark.
