Barbados, Afreximbank announce investment forum

The Africa-Caribbean Trade and Investment Forum (ACTIF) is the first of its kind being organized by the government of Barbados and the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank). It will take place in Bridgetown, Barbados, from August 31 to September 3, 2022.

“One People, One Destiny: Uniting and Reimagining Our Future” will be the theme of ACTIF2022. Through the Forum, the corporate communities in Africa and the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) region are encouraged to form strategic alliances.

According to a statement from Afreximbank, this would strengthen bilateral collaboration and promote participation in commerce, investment, technology transfer, innovation, tourism, culture, and other sectors.

Additionally, ACTIF2022 is anticipated to help with the implementation of the Caribbean trade development agenda and the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA).

This will serve to highlight even more the close linkages that exist between the Caribbean and Africa due to their shared history, culture, identity, and destiny.
