ABA Bank, one of Cambodia’s largest commercial banks, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Economy and Finance to cooperate within the digital economy and FinTech development framework. The aim is to promote and support various forms of cooperation that contribute to the development of the FinTech sector in Cambodia in line with national principles and global trends.

The MoU demonstrates ABA Bank’s commitment to supporting and implementing programs in the FinTech and digital economy fields following the Digital Economy and Society Policy Framework 2021-2035 and Digital Government Policy 2022-2035. ABA Bank’s CEO, Askhat Azhikhanov, expressed the bank’s commitment to leveraging technology and innovation to deliver value-added and efficient financial solutions to customers. The bank firmly believes that collaborating with the Ministry of Economy and Finance will enable them to create more opportunities for customers and accelerate progress in the overall FinTech ecosystem.

As part of the collaboration, ABA Bank has officially become a member of Cambodia Data eXchange (CamDX), a decentralized data exchange platform that provides online services to private and public organizations. Both parties will work together to promote and support various forms of cooperation to develop the FinTech sector in Cambodia in line with national principles and global trends.
